Our Team
Roystan Pais, MBA, FACHE,
CEO
As the owner of Lake George Senior Living in Columbia, MO, I bring a wealth of experience from managing various senior living facilities, including Skilled Nursing, Life Care CCRCs, and Post-Acute Care Centers. My professional journey includes pivotal roles with major organizations like Brookdale Senior Living and the Missouri Veterans Commission, where I oversaw seven veterans nursing homes. Notably, I successfully revitalized The Bluffs, a financially struggling skilled nursing facility in Columbia.
Hailing from Mangalore, India, I hold a medical degree from Kasturba Medical College and practiced medicine before transitioning to healthcare administration, driven by a desire for broader impact in healthcare. My move to Missouri marked the beginning of my dedication to senior care, where I found immense satisfaction in fostering relationships and friendships with seniors, further deepening my commitment to this sector.
I am also passionate about educating future healthcare administrators. I currently teach practicum to Masters in Health Science Management students at Indiana University, where I also earned an MBA. I am honored to be a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
My personal life is enriched by my wife, Angela, a Geriatric Consultant Pharmacist at CVS Health. Together, we cherish working in the senior living field and reside in Jefferson City, MO, with our two daughters, Kinsley and Brielle. Outside of work, I enjoy family time, reading, and supporting the Kansas City Chiefs and Mizzou Tigers.
Angela Pais, Pharm-D
Consultant Pharmacist
Angela Pais, a native of Eldon, Missouri, is co-owner of Lake George Senior Living. In addition, is an accomplished Geriatric Consultant Pharmacist with a distinguished career spanning over a decade at Omnicare, a CVS Health Company. A Doctor of Pharmacy graduate from UMKC School of Pharmacy, she holds dual licenses in Missouri and Kansas. Angela possesses extensive expertise in geriatric pharmacology, particularly in understanding how aging affects medication efficacy and the increased risk of adverse effects in the elderly. Her professional focus includes educating nurses and residents, and providing consultations in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
Angela is deeply committed to optimizing medication use in the elderly, advocating strongly for deprescribing and minimizing polypharmacy, thereby enhancing the quality of life for her patients.
In her personal life, she is married to Roystan, and they have two daughters, Kinsley and Brielle. Angela enjoys watching her children’s cheer and ninja warrior competitions, indulging in true crime shows, and spending time with the family dog, Kingston.
Carole Townsend, LNHA, Executive Director

Carole Townsend, Executive Director of Lake George Senior Living, is currently honing her skills and knowledge of Long-Term Care in Missouri. A newly licensed Administrator, passed the Missouri State Exam for Long Term Care Administrators, specifically for Residential Care and Assisted Living in 2023. A mother of three grown sons, Carole finds herself at a time in her life whereby she can lengthen her stride and broaden her own life purpose!
A natural leader, Carole has found her calling at the helm of this small, homelike assisted living facility. In her role at Lake George Senior Living she combines her life lessons, education and health care experiences! When not engaged in the business of caring for her residents and staff at Lake George, Carole can be found fishing, singing and surrounded by her many friends and family members!
