Dr. Ayaaz Habibullah, MBA, MPH
Dr. Ayaaz Habibullah, or Dr. Habi (pronounced Hobby), is from Columbia MO. He attended Rock Bridge High School and the University of Missouri for his undergraduate studies and plans to stay in mid-Missouri for his entire career! His philosophy, when providing patient care is making suggestions while patients make decisions. He wants to ensure that each patient has the appropriate amount of information and understanding of their current situation to be able to make an informed decision. He understands how personal and important one’s health is and strives to be a part of the journey, helping patients and their families meet their personal goals.
Accessibility and availability are two characteristics that define Dr. Habi’s personality. He strives to always make sure patients know that they can reach out and have their concerns heard and addressed in a timely fashion. His interest in primary care was sparked at a young age as he felt that as a PCP, the ability to establish long-standing relationships and empowering patients to make decisions they are comfortable in, with a complete understanding of their medical condition, is crucial to a provider and patient relationship. Dr. Habi comes to us with a diverse background of working previously and currently in multiple locations, both in the outpatient and inpatient setting, as well as in nursing homes, all of which helps him gain valuable experiences in different medical settings to understand your care now, and into the future. Care coordination is a facet of medicine he is very familiar with and enjoys being your advocate, regardless of the medical setting.
Outside of medicine Dr. Habi has completed both his MBA and MPH degrees. These degrees have been instrumental in his understanding of the facets of the medical world that go beyond direct patient care but directly influence good patient outcomes. SCUBA diving and fishing are both hobbies of his that have led him to travel to unique parts of the world. Basketball is his favorite sport, and on a more personal level his grandparents are very near and dear to his heart as he is their primary caretaker. This has only furthered his understanding and genuine passion towards the geriatric population. In Dr. Habibullah you will always find an individual who will routinely advocate for your health and ensure that you get the care that we all rightfully deserve.
